Our Office Policies

We have your convenience in mind. With the NEW online patient registration portal you can fill out your patient registration any time of day. Registering online will save time when you arrive for your appointment. This will ensure that you are seen as quickly as possible when you arrive for your appointment. Registration only takes about 10 minutes. Before you start the registration process, have your medical and vision insurance cards at hand. Fill out the information as accurately and completely as possible. You must fill out all required fields for the registration process to be complete. The mission of Matthew's Hand Surgery Center is to provide quality health services and facilities for the community, to promote wellness, to relieve suffering, and to restore health as swiftly, safely, and humanely as it can be done, consistent with the best service we can give at the highest value for all concerned.

We make every effort to decrease the cost of your medical care. Therefore, we request payment arrangements for all office services at the time they are rendered unless prior arrangements have been made. We accept cash, checks, MasterCard, Visa, and Discover for your convenience. If we are a participating provider of your insurance company, we will bill them. However, payment is the patient's responsibility. We will help in any way we can to assist you in handling claims.

Appointments/Cancellations

With the exception of serious emergencies, it is expected that you keep all of your appointments. If you need to reschedule an appointment we require 24 hours notice. In such a case, please call our office and arrange for a make-up appointment with one of our patient care coordinators.

To schedule an appointment please call us at 516-586-1300. We understand that your schedule may change and that emergencies arise. If you are unable to keep your appointment, we ask that you provide us with 24-hour notice. Please extend us this courtesy so that other patients may be seen.

Emergencies

Our office provides on-call service for emergencies. Call +1-516-586-1300 so that the physician on call can be contacted.

We provide 24-hour emergency coverage for all patients. If you have an emergency after office hours, call our office at 516-586-1300 or our answering service at 516-586-1300. The answering service will take your message and contact a covering physician immediately.

The Matthew's Hand Surgery Center provides our patients with office forms for your convenience. We recommend you print and fill these forms prior to your appointment to save time.
